Merry Christmas! Only five days left! I love this time of year. Everyone is happier and more giving. It is a fun time.
Our food drive at Smith's Food and Drug was a success! We collected 1,294 food items ( 1,056 cans and 238 other food items) and $143 in cash for the Utah Food Bank. We were excited that so many people were willing to give. We were planning to be at Smith's on Saturday, December 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. We had so much success on Saturday that we decided to do it on Monday, December 18 too.
Fox 13 News came and interviewed me on Saturday and aired it that night at 9 and Monday morning. We were excited that so many people were involved. Some people were so generous that they donated large bags full of food and did not ask for a candle. They just wanted to donated to the Utah Food Bank. One lady bought a $50 Smith's gift card so they could buy what they needed. I was impressed at the willingness to give.
We had a lot of success for our first food drive. We'll definitely do it again next year! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year's!

For Every Body's First Annual Food Drive
Christmas is a time of giving. People think more of others than themselves. It is a wonderful time of year to help our communities and give back.
I am excited about this weekend because we are going to be gathering food for families. This year we at For Every Body teamed up with the Utah Food Bank, and Smith's Food and Drug Center to help people who are in need of food this winter. This Saturday, December 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., we will be giving candles in exchange for non perishable food items at Smith's at 210 E. 700 S. in Pleasant Grove, Utah. We hope to gather a large amount of food to help families and people in need of food this winter.
We are giving away our large cinnamon Holiday Traditions candles. Cinnamon is one of my favorite fragrances. I am excited to be giving them away!
Smith's was excited when we told them what we wanted to do because they are already trying to raise food for the Utah Food bank. All of their bins were empty when we went there. Hopefully, tomorrow we can fill them!
This will be our first annual food drive. We hope to do it every Christmas from now on. It should be a success!

Christmas is in the Air!
Hello!
Christmas is in the air! There is snow on the mountains and everyone is getting ready for Christmas! I love this time of year when everyone is happy and busy thinking about everyone else. There is something special about this time of year that you don't see at any other time.
It was another great week at For Every Body. We had a giant sale at our outlet store this past weekend. It was fun. I helped at the store during the sale. Hundreds of people came! It was awesome. We sold more candles and more people came than we have ever seen before.
It was a great sale. We sold some of our large 26 oz. candles for only $2! People were going crazy! It was fun. The sale is great because it helps our customers get gifts at extremely low prices every year before Christmas. So it not only helps us, but it also helps them too.
Have fun shopping and getting ready for Christmas!

Fundraiser to help Tori Schmanski
Good morning! I hope you all recovered from Thanksgiving! It was nice to take time off to be with family and friends.
To continue my story from last week... So I've been a big fan of For Every Body for several years. About two years ago in January 2005, I was almost finished with my classes at Brigham Young University, and I needed an internship. I looked everywhere for an internship that I would like and learn from.
I looked online and found an internship at For Every Body. I was so excited! It sounded like the perfect job for me. I loved the company, their candles and everything about the idea. So I applied and fortunately, they liked me! I worked for about four months as an intern, and then I moved all the way to New York City to work as an intern there. While I was away, For Every Body called me and asked if I would work for them. So that brings me to today, almost two years later. I'm an even bigger fan of the company, and want everyone to know about it!
One of the things I like most about For Every Body is how they give back to the community. They make candles for different causes like breast cancer, organ donation and then last year they made one for a young girl that was in a terrible car accident. Her name is Tori Schmanski.
Tori sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury in an automobile accident on Father’s Day, June 19, 2005. At the time of the accident, she was 15 years old and a very talented dancer. Her car rolled two and a half times, and landed upside down in a canal. Everyone except Tori was able to swim out of the vehicle. Tori was submerged in water for 15 minutes before help could arrive.
We created a candle called “Pray 4 Tori” in September 2005 to help raise funds for her medical bills. We reintroduced the candle a couple days ago to help Tori travel to China to receive treatment that she cannot get in the United States. Charitable donations have also been given from numerous individuals and generous contributions from companies to the Tori Schmanski Fund to help fund their trip.
You can buy the candles at www.pray4tori.com and make donations there. You can also read about Tori and how she has progressed the past year and a half. Please tell everyone about this. Tori's and her parents are leaving on Jan. 11 and will be there until Feb. 12. They need as much support as they can. I'll keep you posted on the progress of this fundraiser.
Have a great week! I'll write again next week.

The Day before Thanksgiving 2006!
Good morning! Today is the first day of my blog. Let me introduce For Every Body and myself. I am a big fan of For Every Body. I learned about the company about five years ago when I saw my mom burning a candle in our kitchen. I asked what she was burning, and she said it was the best candle she had ever used. After that, I became a huge fan of For Every Body and their products.
I started learning more about For Every Body from their website. They have an amazing story. They began in November of 1995 in Becky Lunceford's kitchen. This was a long time before I became a fan. At the time, Becky was raising nine children and she lived on a farm in Utah. One day she saw her daughters driving a tractor in their orchard. She didn't like the idea of her daughters driving tractors, and decided to teach them the value of hard work another way.
Becky had a background in chemistry and started making lotions and body washes in her kitchen with her daughters. They decided to open a small retail store in the University Mall in Orem, Utah to sell their products. The store was a success in the first year, and the rest is history.
Now, 11 years later, the day before Thanksgiving, I am an even bigger fan of the company and can't believe their growth. They have a manufacturing plant in Utah and sell their products wholesale, retail and on their website. They have about 200 employees and sell products around the world.
My favorite fragrance is their peach fragrance. I love clean, fresh scents, and this is a good one. So that's my introduction. I love For Every Body and their products, and I think everyone should know about them. Their website is www.foreverybody.com. I am going to post on this blog every Wednesday morning. I would love to hear your feedback about this blog. Have a wonderful day before Thanksgiving!
