For Every Home Featured in New National Publication

A Utah Valley start-up is the focus of the premiere issue of Celebrating Women, a new specialized national publication designed to motivate and inspire individuals interested in supplementing their income and improving their lives.

For Every Home, whose products include premium soy candles and home décor products, has been in operation since March 2008. The company’s explosive growth and dynamic leadership attracted the editorial board at Celebrating Women. The two companies teamed up for the first issue which appeared on shelves nationwide Nov. 1.

“It is an honor to be featured in the premiere issue of Celebrating Women,” said For Every Home founder Becky Anderson, who appears on the magazine cover. “For Every Home creates opportunities for individuals interested in the freedom, flexibility and financial independence of a home based business and we are thrilled to highlight the success our consultants are having so far.”

Like the premiere edition, each issue of Celebrating Women features a party plan or direct sales company. Included is in-depth coverage of the company, profiles of top leaders and details about how the company creates opportunities for women to achieve success. From engaging articles, readers can learn how to create success personally, professionally and financially.

Celebrating Women is produced by Bennett Communications, a Utah based publishing company who has written about the growth of For Every Home’s parent company, For Every Body, for many years. “We have observed this industry with amazement as the businesses grow so fast,” said Celebrating Women editor Jeanette Bennett. “We have always had great admiration for Becky [Anderson] and for the company and its products.”

Bennett Communications has plans to feature four more direct sales companies in 2009 through the quarterly release of Celebrating Women. The magazine will be available for purchase at B&N, Borders, Doubleday, Hastings, Joseph Beth, B Dalton, and Empire around the country.

“We envision the magazine inspiring women around the country as they pick up the magazine from a bookstore or receive the magazine from a consultant,” said Bennett. “The magazine showcases the success stories that have already happened within For Every Home and gives can't-fail tips on how to add this opportunity to an already busy life. We are very proud of this magazine and look forward to telling stories of more direct sales companies in 2009.”

Happy 4th of July!

What's more American than apple pie! Our apple pie home baked soy based candle is one of my favorites. It smells just like my mom's freshly baked apple pie that came straight from the oven. I love it!

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love the fireworks, the BBQs, spending time with family and friends, the parades, boating on the lake and enjoying the patriotic spirit everywhere! I hope you enjoy yours!

New Trailer

It was another exciting day at For Every Body. We made soy based candles as usual, attended meetings, sent emails, and worked on our computers. But, something happened that was out of the ordinary. Josh, our International Project Manager, bought a new trailer. It is pretty cool if you're into that sort of thing.

It is big enough to carry four wheelers and six people. He picked it up before work today from a little town called Roy, Utah. He woke up at 5:30 a.m. to pick it up, and then drove it to work. Anita and I had a tour earlier today.

The trailer is white with black and red writing. It is pretty "pimp" as Josh would say!

Fragrance Vendors

It's finally sunny in Utah! It's been so cold lately, I am glad we can finally see some sunshine again!
Starting this week, I will be posting on this blog once a day. Please send me ideas of topics you would like me to cover. Any ideas will be welcomed.
This week we are having two fragrance oil vendors visit us. I love smelling all of the new fragrances they bring! There are so many different versions of one fragrance. I was surprised at how many there were before I started working here.
For example, let's talk about a pumpkin pie candle... Each fragrance has several notes. A pumpkin pie fragrance can have a pumpkin note, a cinnamon note, a lemon note, and several others. There are hidden notes in fragrances that you wouldn't even know are there until you talk to an oil vendor.
I'll keep you posted on the new fragrances they bring. What type of fragrances do you like?

Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate!!

Happy Valentine's Day! Today is the day that people give away flowers, cards, chocolate, candy, etc. It is a happy day. I talked to someone today who has been married for 11 years. Today he gave his wife flowers for the first time. I'm sure that brightened her day!

This year we made a new chocolate candle line. It is perfect for Valentine's Day. We have all sorts of fragrances available.

* Chocolate & Caramel
* Chocolate & Orange Sticks
* Chocolate & Strawberry
* Chocolate & Raspberries
* Chocolate & Lime Truffle
* Chocolate & Sugar Cookies

My favorite is the Chocolate & Raspberries. We went to a trade show in Atlanta last month and gave away chocolates that tasted exactly like our Chocolate & Raspberry candle smelled. They smell good enough to eat!

Our chocolate candles are available in an 11 oz. candle, an 18 piece votive set, and a nine piece tealight set. They all have cute toppings that match their name. I feel like eating chocolate when I smell them!

Happy Valentine's Day!

New Lines and Fundraisers

Good morning!

It is another freezing day in Utah! I can't wait for it to get warm again. The sun is shining today, so that is good news!

We now have all of our new lines posted on our website. They will be available to buy on February 1. I love our new lines! I have two favorites. I like our Delicate Floral line and our Minus Wicks line. The Minus Wicks line is different than anything I've seen before. It looks like a candle, but it does not have wax in it. It is water based. There are six new fragrances and they all have a clean, fresh scent that lasts up to 60 hours. They don't have a wick so you put them on a candle warmer. They're great for stinky roommates, pets, or children! I like them.

I am also excited about our ongoing fundraiser. Any nonprofit organization can participate in it. We sell our large Folk Art candles and also our Folk Art Tins. You can earn up to 50% profit. I would have loved this when I was little! It is a great fundraiser because everyone loves candles. They're easy to sell.

Well, that is all of the latest news at For Every Body. Feel free to leave a comment to let us know what you think of our new lines!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a relaxing and fun break over the holidays. It's nice to have a break every once in a while. It's nice to come back to work too. =)

It's a new year! There are a lot of exciting things happening at For Every Body. We just launched nine new candle lines. That is the most we've ever done! They are great new lines. I included a few pictures of them on this blog. Below is a list of the new lines.

* Aroma Therapy- Candles, wafers, lotion and bath gel. (Four new fragrances)
* Zenovation- Candles in a box, votives and tealights. (Six new fragrances)

* Tropical Samba- Fun new candles in square jars and tealights! (Six new fragrances)
* Divine Chocolates- 11 oz. jar candles, votives and tealights. Great for chocolate lovers who love chocolate, but not the calories! (Six new fragrances)
* Tea Time (the study of tea)- Cute tins with tiny tea cups on top! (Six new fragrances)
* Tiny Temptations- New cupcake candles with cute sprinkles on top! (Six new fragrances)

I love our new candles! They are so cute! The floral line smells so good and the cupcake line looks good enought to eat. Let me know what you think!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Only five days left! I love this time of year. Everyone is happier and more giving. It is a fun time.

Our food drive at Smith's Food and Drug was a success! We collected 1,294 food items ( 1,056 cans and 238 other food items) and $143 in cash for the Utah Food Bank. We were excited that so many people were willing to give. We were planning to be at Smith's on Saturday, December 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. We had so much success on Saturday that we decided to do it on Monday, December 18 too.

Fox 13 News came and interviewed me on Saturday and aired it that night at 9 and Monday morning. We were excited that so many people were involved. Some people were so generous that they donated large bags full of food and did not ask for a candle. They just wanted to donated to the Utah Food Bank. One lady bought a $50 Smith's gift card so they could buy what they needed. I was impressed at the willingness to give.

We had a lot of success for our first food drive. We'll definitely do it again next year! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year's!
